Great read, and being one of the six left on ebay , i have ta say , my dsr have risen upwards due to the best feedback system ebay has so far! , why ? sales have dropped from like 100 items a day to 1 and if you only have one +ve feed , made my feedback status close to perfect . Dont say too much about my sales though lol.

Great stuff Steve! I’m a 81 yr old Granny who has sold on eBay since 2001 and it seems like every year since 2003 things became more and more difficult to make a living or even extra money on eBay. I loved most everything about eBay until 2008 and you nailed it right on! It is a shame that it is going “down hill” and out of sight. I still try to sell on it but it is almost impossible; every time you open up your page, a different foremat, new rules…anything to waste your time and money. SO–how do we get rid of them quickly? They are doing themselves in but why such a slow death? Thanks for all of the LOL ! Jinx

LOL! you missed two very important things that came about during 2008! One of which, you will be reminded of shortly when MY EBAY rolls out in it’s new Beta format. Remember? The format that locked in 10,000 users without an option to opt out of it for 5 weeks in the month of July? It was a mess. Like everything else. And when it rolls out, next week, you are going to hear more noise than ever!

Former powerseller Stylephyle left ebay for good last May – last two straws were worst match and gutting of the feedback system. It just wasn’t any fun anymore. Best thing that ever happened to me, though. Moved on over to the River, and my sales are up 400 percent over last January. Plus my blood pressure is now normal! Thanks, ebay!

GREAT!!! LOVE IT!!!!! I NEVER BOUGHT OR SOLD ANYWHERE BUT EBAY FOR YEARS. ALL THE EBAY CHANGES I HAD TO DO SOMETHING. THANK GOD FOR SELLING ON “THE RIVER”. I DO ALL MY BUYING AND SELLING NOW ON AMAZON!!! I NEVER WOULD HAVE MADE THIS MOVE, BUT EBAY MADE ME!! I NOW LOVE IT.

I have totally enjoyed this light-hearted and humorous review but most of all the stock prices falling faster than Mr JD’s changes. The sad part of all this is he still thinks hes got it right and “on the right track”.

We’d be much better off if the morons at ebay suddenly decided to do like the Heaven’s Gate Cult in 1997 when a then unknown comet came thru the local solar system. The Heaven’s Gate crowd thought it was a sign from God that in order to join the journey they needed to commit mass suicide. This would be a great idea for the people who run ebay. The only thing bad about this idea is that the if they all killed themselves, we couldn’t take joy in a slow painful death, which is what they really deserve. The heads of ebay are now officially to stupid to breath air or take up space on the planet.

If this can’t happen, maybe a very small comet can hit a meeting room full of ebay execs.

……….We can always dream……………..
